Foam Technologies supplied profile-cut EPS void formwork for the Karrinyup Shopping Centre redevelopment, supporting curved water feature forms in the food and entertainment precinct.
The work required custom-cut expanded polystyrene shaped to match the architect’s three-dimensional curved design.

Curved EPS formwork for a public retail space
The shopping centre renovation included landscaped areas beside cafes and restaurants, with curved water features at the northern and southern ends.
The Karrinyup redevelopment needed lightweight formwork that could follow a curved landscape design. Foam Technologies worked with the landscaping contractor to profile cut EPS into the required three-dimensional shape.
The curved void formwork was manufactured by Foam Technologies and cast in-situ as a form-liner. This helped create the water feature form while keeping the installation practical for the contractor.
